Fans of Keyshia Cole are in luck, as the chart topping R&B singstress announced a new project is on the way during a recent performance at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles as a part of “The Love Hard Tour” alongside Trey Songz and K. Michelle.

The 42-year-old Oakland, California native made the announcement in front of a raucous crowd, showing gratitude towards her adoring fans and supporters. As the tears flowed, an emotional Cole also gave a shout out to her late mother, Frankie Lons, who passed away in July of 2021.

I wanna say I appreciate you. If you ever bought an album… Album eight right now on the way. I wanna give a shout-out to my mom Frankie. If you watched the reality show, if you watched her…I just wanna say thank you. You helped change my life.
— Keyshia Cole

Keyshia explored the relationship dynamic between her and her mother and how it impacted her musical journey in the 2023 biopic Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story.

This untitled 8th album will be the “I Don’t Wanna Be in Love” singer's last since 2017’s ‘11:11 Reset’ which included hits like “You” and “Incapable” and her first full length project since her mother’s untimely death due to an accidental drug overdose. Cole has released numerous projects since then, most notably her recent collaboration with R&B icon Monica for The Color Purple soundtrack. Anticipation for her latest release is at its highest.
