As reported by Variety, the highly anticipated biopic was skillfully directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, with a screenplay crafted by the talented team of Zach Baylin, Frank E. Flowers, and Terence Winter. It's an exciting collaboration that brings together the creative vision and storytelling expertise of these accomplished individuals. Adding to the significance of the film, David "Ziggy" Marley, the son of Bob and Rita Marley, shared on Twitter that his family, in partnership with Paramount, took part in producing the movie. Filming took place in Jamaica and England, immersing the production in the very locations that shaped Bob Marley's remarkable journey.
“Authenticity fills the screen with numerous Jamaican actors doing us proud in representing the culture,” said Ziggy. “Filmed at the actual places where Bob walked, played football, and sang, like Trench Town and Bull Bay in Kingston, it is an artistic creation that we are proud of and want you to enjoy to be entertained but also to be inspired. The family produced it with Paramount studio, and for us, it represents the continuation of Bob’s message and growth.”
