Dubbed the “Breezy Bowl” the Virginia native set the stage ablaze with an out of this world rendition of some of his greatest hits dating back to the early 2000s. Selling out two consecutive shows at the famed FNB stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa over the weekend (Dec. 14th - 15th), Chris Brown expressed his excitement to a raucous crowd of over 90,000 fans.

I’ve been waiting my whole life for this kind of moment. I just want to say from the bottom of my heart I love you guys so much. This night means a lot to me.

I ain’t been out here in a long time. I’ve been rocking for two and a half hours, and y’all just let me rock. I appreciate that.
— Chris Brown

The 35 year old performed a medley of his Amapiano and Afrobeats songs like “MONALISA” featuring South African artist Lojay and “Sensational” featuring Davido. He also performed some of his classics including “Wall to Wall, “Run It!,” and “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)” and newer records like “Residuals,” and “Under The Influence.”

Back in October, the musical icon was petitioned to cancel his show in Johannesburg. According to the BBC, the South African organization Women for Change campaigned against the singer, stating that his past mistakes would “send the wrong message” to its citizens.

Following the news of the petition against him Chris took to social media to leave a simple comment. “Can’t wait to come,” followed by a heart emoji. Below is a clip of the crowd from one of the sold out shows over the weekend.
