Los Angeles, CA – Following an electrifying debut in February, the Leimert Park Music Series is back on Monday, March 31, for another unforgettable night of live Hip-Hop, and R&B at The World Stage in Leimert Park. This cultural movement presented by 247 Live Culture, continues to uplift rising Black artists while honoring the rich musical legacy of Los Angeles’ most historic Black arts district.
Doors open at 7:30 PM, with the show running until 10 PM. Tickets are $20 and available now.
This month’s lineup features five dynamic artists set to take the stage including rapper Ac Wolf, R&B singer NURD, rapper Pookie Blow, R&B singer Zani Vie, and rapper Deuceworld.
Adding to the experience, Sweet Candy Radio will be spinning the vibes throughout the night, while 247LC Media Correspondent Eboné Chatman will host the evening, bringing energy and charisma to the stage.
The Leimert Park Music Series was founded to provide a consistent platform for emerging Black artists, showcasing authentic talent in a space deeply rooted in the history of jazz, hip-hop, soul, and spoken word. The World Stage, founded in 1989, has long been a hub for cultural expression and continues to serve as a home for creative excellence.
This series is about building a movement that amplifies voices, fosters community, and ensures that Black music continues to thrive in Los Angeles and beyond.

Taking place monthly on Monday nights at the iconic World Stage in Leimert Park, this collaboration with 247 Live Culture offers a platform for rising talent to shine in a space deeply rooted in artistic excellence. Nestled in the heart of Leimert Park Village, The World Stage stands as an educational and performance art institution that has been pivotal in shaping South L.A.’s creative landscape. Founded in 1989 by jazz legend Billy Higgins and poet and activist Kamau Daáood, The World Stage has long served as a sanctuary for artists seeking self-discovery, experimentation, and collaboration in an enriching environment.
With a capacity of 100 attendees, The World Stage has hosted an array of transformative events, workshops, and performances, fostering generations of artistic excellence. Alumni from this space include musical groups like B Sharp Jazz Quartet and Young World Stage All-Stars, renowned poets, authors, and artists such as Michael Datcher, Ruth Forman, Dwight Trible, and Peter J. Harris.
The mission of The World Stage aligns seamlessly with the goals of 247 Live Culture—to honor, preserve, and advance the legacy of African American music, literature, and oral traditions.
