King Jaquell Martin is a native of Benton Harbor, MI. King enlisted in the US Army with a passion to serve his country and make a better life for himself and his family. As a high achiever, King moved up the ranks to sergeant and held his position until an unforeseen and challenging incident brought him face to face with age old discrimination, born of ignorance and racial hatred. This experience inspired King to write his freshman biography: A War On Friendly Grounds. A piece fitting the current narrative in our country surrounding unfair racial practices and bias found in the military and police force.

King graduated with a BFA in filmmaking as a Director at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, CA. As an author, he wants A War On Friendly Grounds to be a welcoming bridge between the public and police department. King transformed his book A War On Friendly Grounds to an award winning motion picture. The film has given acknowledgement to King’s multiple talents and has awarded him Best Actor, Best Director, and recognition to becoming a shining light in Hollywood. King has the heart of a servant, is very passionate about his people and desires to help others live up to their full potential.

After completing his term in the armed services, King enrolled at the Joanne Baron/D.W. Brown Acting Studio, a prestigious two-year intensive Meisner training program in Santa Monica, CA. This program led King to his debut on prime-time television, featuring in the award-winning show Ballers on HBO, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

King Jacquell Martin is a motivational speaker, whose accolades have been acknowledged by The Toast Masters and awarded him 1st Place in the Regional 46th international Speech Competition. King’s speech titled: Am I In A Domestic Violence Relationship With America? is about to take the world by storm! King’s goal with his words is to promote love, while healing with unity to create peace.

King’s films: A War On Friendly Grounds, Twitter Fingers, and Evolution of Slavery have all been nominated for multiple domestic and international film festivals. King is the the first director to have all 3 of his films showcased consecutively at the TCL Chinese Theater during the Indie Night Film Festival in Los Angeles. King Jacquell has been awarded the Humanitarian Award for Peace Award by Dr. Dame Munni Irone.
