Larrenwong, a versatile and self-taught music artist from Union City, California, recently joined the "Who's Hot? Exclusive" podcast to delve into his new EP titled "Greenroom EP" and his intriguing journey into the world of acting. Born to a Filipino immigrant mother and a Black American father, Larrenwong's diverse cultural background has significantly influenced his unique musical style. His early inspiration came from his grandfather, a jazz band leader and flautist with the New York Philharmonic, which fueled his passion for music from a young age.

Starting with the guitar at just twelve years old, Larrenwong expanded his musical expertise to include producing, and playing instruments like the bass, piano, and bassoon. His artistic journey is not just confined to music; Larren also excelled in sports, playing D1 football and even briefly joining the Seattle Seahawks as a linebacker. His academic achievements include a Master’s in Creative Management from Northwestern University.

Choosing to leave his athletic career behind, Larrenwong fully immersed himself in music, crafting a sound deeply rooted in the Bay Area's vibrant scene along with influences from iconic artists like Erykah Badu, J Dilla, and D’Angelo. This blend creates a rich, worldly sound that defines his music. On the podcast, Larrenwong shared insights into the creation of his "Greenroom EP," reflecting his journey and how his varied life experiences—ranging from sports to different cultural influences—shape his music.
