Doechii and JT turned Milan Fashion Week into their personal stage at Dsquared2’s 30th-anniversary show, proving they’re more than rap stars—they’re fashion powerhouses. The show, titled Obsessed2, was a rebellious, high-energy spectacle blending leather, worn denim, and hypersexual silhouettes with an unapologetic attitude. That runway was more than fashion—it was culture, confidence, and rule-breaking at its finest.

Doechii made an entrance fit for a superstar, running out of a truck in heels before storming the runway and lighting a cigarette like she owned the place. Her presence was electric, setting the tone for a night dripping in bold statements and untouchable energy. JT, always a couture queen, embodied high fashion with effortless confidence, proving she can go from rap’s baddest to runway royalty without missing a beat. Their performance wasn’t just about music—it was a celebration of style, attitude, and boundary-pushing artistry.

The show embraced maximalism with a rebellious twist—vintage cars, voguing performers on roller skates, Naomi Campbell delivering her signature strut, and models exuding sex appeal in daring cuts and bold prints. NLE Choppa made an appearance, rocking a fur jacket and flexing his tattoo-covered chest. The Caten twins brought in unexpected collaborations with Magliano, Vaquera, and Ducati, pushing their signature aesthetic even further.

By the end of the night, Doechii and JT had turned the Dsquared2 runway into an unforgettable moment. The fashion show was an unapologetic high-fashion takeover where these two proved they’re not only dominating the music scene but also commanding attention on the runway.

In a world dictated by trends and norms, fashion often becomes a battleground between conformity and self-expression. However, it's time to challenge the status quo and embrace the beauty of dressing authentically, without fear of judgment or ridicule.

Fashion is more than just fabric and threads; it's a powerful form of self-expression. Yet, too often, society dictates what is deemed "acceptable" or "appropriate" attire, leaving little room for individuality. However, true style knows no boundaries and should not be confined by societal norms.

The beauty of fashion lies in its ability to reflect our unique personalities, passions, and identities. Whether it's bold colors, quirky accessories, or unconventional silhouettes, our clothing choices allow us to express who we are and what we stand for.

Unfortunately, many people shy away from embracing their true style for fear of being labeled as "weird" or "different." However, it's time to challenge these misconceptions and celebrate diversity in fashion. After all, what is considered "weird" today may become the latest trend tomorrow.

Being unapologetically yourself with your fashion choices is not about seeking validation or approval from others; it's about owning your individuality and embracing what makes you unique. Whether you're donning vintage finds, experimenting with gender-fluid styles, or mixing high fashion with streetwear, the key is to wear it with confidence and conviction.

Moreover, the impact of embracing unconventional fashion extends far beyond personal style; it fosters a culture of inclusivity and acceptance. By celebrating diversity in fashion, we create a more welcoming and tolerant society where everyone feels empowered to express themselves freely.

So, how can you unapologetically be yourself by dressing how you want? Here are a few tips:

Know Yourself:

Take the time to explore your personal style and what makes you feel confident and comfortable. Experiment with different looks until you find what resonates with you.

Ignore the Critics:

Don't let the opinions of others dictate your fashion choices. Remember, style is subjective, and what matters most is how you feel in your own skin.

Find Your Tribe:

Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who appreciate and celebrate your unique style. Having a supportive community can give you the confidence to fully embrace your fashion identity.

Be Bold:

Don't be afraid to push the boundaries and step out of your comfort zone. Embrace bold colors, statement pieces, and unconventional pairings – it's all part of expressing your authentic self.

Lead by Example:

By confidently embracing your individuality, you inspire others to do the same. Be a trailblazer in celebrating diversity in fashion and encourage others to express themselves freely.

In life, conformity is always valued over creativity, but let's reclaim the power of fashion as a tool for self-expression. Embracing style as your own, celebrate diversity, and remember: the most fashionable thing you can wear is confidence. So, go ahead – dress boldly, live authentically, and be unapologetically yourself.

Rihanna Erykah Badu Zendaya

Paris Fashion Week seamlessly took place, casually knocking the boots off everyone’s feet. Let’s just slay, black people have set the world record as THEE fashion icons. I also say that with so much pun intended. As we start to navigate what took place in Paris, I want y’all to reminisce on 'Ni**as in Paris' as the anthem for this Fashion Week debut. Let’s get into it!

Zendaya has been silenced for some time now, but one thing our girl is going to do is pop out and off. Our Disney princess is now the Essence queen! Matching her elegance, she showcased the most dramatic black skirt with the extensive train to match. Pairing it with a black turtleneck top with the illusion of an extension of fabric studs from the shoulders to the wrists, tucked into a glossy inky-black column skirt. The skirt also had a slit that was just enough for everyone to catch their breath. The draping detail gave us very much what we needed. Adding the stiletto pumps was the magic touch to her combination. Also, let’s not get confused; the hair was just the icing on the cake. Please give Zendaya tens immediately across the board!

Rihanna. Rihanna. Rihanna. Some may have hated her outfit, but I absolutely loved it. Rihanna can do zero wrongs in my eyes. Her puffer jacket gave an eloquent scrunch by the use of a belt to the front, signaling that we all need to start wearing our jackets as such. 'I saw Rihanna wear a puffer jacket with an eloquent scrunch, so I wore a puffer jacket with an eloquent scrunch.' This all-black Dior ensemble was just a classic plus for Bad Gal Riri. Also, it wouldn’t be Rihanna if she didn't add the edge. The baseball cap and gloves were the perfect Rihanna spin!

You know who’s going to take us out of the box and leave us there? Erykah Badu! Suede jacket, massive hat, the bangles, oh my gosh, the bangles! At Rick Owens' show, she attended wearing a truly innovative take on the so-called ugly shoe. Please, she is the fashion trend!

There is a bunch more that I can go down a rabbit hole about, but I will just leave it to say, sisters, we did not miss any marks for Paris Fashion Week. This was needed. We love it. Continue to give fashion the uproar most. Good day!
