KHOU 11 has confirmed that on Wednesday, January 4, Patrick Clark, who is charged with the murder of Migos artist, Takeoff, was released on $1 million bond. As he waits on his next court date in March, the 33 year old will have to undergo mandatory drug testing as well as being banned from being in possession of guns,, drugs, and alcohol. Clark will also wear a GPS monitor as he remains on house arrest.
Led by Letitia Quinones, Clark’s legal team has tried to have his original $2 million bail lowered to $300,000 which ended up being denied. Prosecutors also brought concerns about Clark’s financial assets and also deemed him a flight risk, but Quinones denied the claims.
“We complied with every requirement that the judge asked of us, only to be told today that [the bond] would not be lowered. So yes, we are very disappointed. We disagree. And frankly, we’re very surprised.”

It’s been a couple months since the tragic loss of Takeoff, but family and friends are ready to receive justice. Although Clark is the main suspect, his lawyer Quinones is fighting to maintain his innocence.
“The fight is not over. We do believe without a shadow of a doubt that when the time comes, we will be able to show Mr. Clark’s innocence in this. I think something has been lost with all the hype and all the tragedy that’s involved in this offense, and that Mr. Clark is presumed innocent.”
Quavo, Takeoff’s bandmate recently released a tribute song to Takeoff titled “Without You” which shows Quavo reminiscing over their memories together.
