Ed Reed Will Not Coach Bethune-Cookman After Contract Negotiations Fail

Ed Reed has announced that Bethune-Cookman University will not be ratifying his contract to be the next head coach of their football program. This news comes as a shock to many, as Reed had already been announced as the new head coach and had begun assembling his staff. The university has not shared the reason behind the decision, but it will be important to find a coach who' will be able to lead the Wildcats to success.
Reed, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, had been appointed to lead the University to SWAC prominence. The All-Pro safety expected to use his pro experience to turn around a struggling football program. This is a difficult situation for all parties involved, as Reed was already building his staff for the season this fall.
