Alexis Talks Journey From 'Spunk Magazine' to 'Art for the Internet'
By: Irissah King
Alexis and I sat down to discuss her creative journey, which commenced during her college years while working in the library. It was then that her passion for graphic design blossomed, igniting the concept of her own magazine, "Spunk Magazine," dedicated to showcasing emerging underground artists.
Since moving to Atlanta, Alexis has already built a name for herself while establishing numerous connections in the city. This year, she unveiled "Art for the Internet," a multifaceted creative agency comprising Network, Program, and Print divisions. Their endeavors include hosting creative events, galleries, mixers, and operating as a print shop.
She reflects on the abundant opportunities Atlanta offers compared to her hometown in Tennessee, where she often had to forge her own path. In Atlanta, she finds a thriving community of like-minded creatives eager to collaborate and foster each other's creative ambitions.
