Mississippi artist, Jo2Federal sat down with us in Episode 10 of “Who’s Hot? Exclusive” to discuss having a strong support system, what sets him apart from other artists, and being signed to a label label. Check out the full interview below!
Jo2Federal is a multi talented artist born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi who has been developing his melodic sound since 2017. His ability to combine creative lyrics with a wide range of melodies and flows has caught the attention of the entire state. He once pursued a career as a fireman but shifted his focus on music after receiving positive feedback from a close friend which inspired the two to go on and create the rap group 2Federal.
“We couldn’t let this talent go to waste. We went in the studio laid, something down. The people started f**kin’ with it. So we was like ok we gone stick to this we gone stay in this lane…”
Jo officially announced his presence to the rap scene with his 2020 debut project ‘Fed World’ which allowed him to display a variety of concepts and experiment with different tones and tempos. His talent and versatility on the mic has given him the opportunity to collaborate with many other talented artists from across the state and more.

His undeniable work ethic has landed his music in the hands of DJs and promoters all across the southeast, building fanbases in the city of Atlanta, Louisiana, Texas and Florida. While also catching the eyes of industry execs with his ability to authentically relate to a myriad of listeners. This led to the signing of his artist development deal with Pro Classic Records in October 2022, an Atlanta-based independent label. The momentum is expected to continue with new projects and visuals set to release this fall.
