Virginia singer, Semiyah, is a true neo-soul talent that is ready to take the world by storm. Her 2022 project Remedial Education II is still making waves featuring 7 tracks about life that you can relate to.
With the 3 year anniversary of her debut EP, Remedial Education, Semiyah recently dropped an acoustic version of her lead single “Got Me” and it is a excellent track. Semiyah brings true authenticity to her music, relying on personal experiences to write her music. Through her journey, she wants to provide inspiration for other rising artists.
“As long as you’re doing it because you love it, you’re going to enjoy the process of it. It’s not going to be millions right off the bat. It’s not going to be overnight and viral for everybody.— Enjoy the process of you growing and doing what you do.”
On her most recent project Remedial Education II, her personal favorite track is “Lonely Roads”. “Lyrically it’s really vulnerable. One of the best I’ve ever written” said Semiyah on Who’s Hot? Exclusive. Semiyah details the process of healing in her tracks and her projects take you on a complete journey as she ends her project with an uplifting track, “Better Than Ever”.
