Comedian Lonnie Smith Discusses His Comedy Platform, Funarios

Atlanta comedian, Lonnie Smith, has created his own wave in the comedy game with viral skits dating back to the days of Vine. In 2010, Lonnie started his own comedy platform from his dorm room, Funarios, which was inspired from the legend Dave Chappelle. Since then, Lonnie’s popularity and brand has grown exponentially through consistency and originality.
Lonnie’s reach has garnered over 450,000 subscribers to his youtube channel as well as a mass audience via his social media platforms. Lonnie stressed the importance of helping to give others opportunities to create and credits a lot of his success to his team. “My biggest form of success is being able to give other people an opportunity and a shot” Lonnie mentioned on BoomBox Weekly.
Aside from creating his own content, Lonnie has taken his talents to movie platforms starring in the comedy film F*cking Married on Tubi. The movie has also racked up over 1 million views on youtube. Due to the sucess of the film, Lonnie is in talks of doing a sequel and taken the film to even bigger heights.
